UK Graduate Training programme
10 Jan 2024 - At Sondrel, we believe our people are our most valuable asset, which is why we invest in developing and nurturing employees to reach their full potential. A great example of this is our UK Graduate Training programme that has been running since 2020.
We provide each graduate with an intensive, one-year, technical training programme where they deep dive into the various stages of design to give them a greater understanding of the entire chip design and manufacturing process. In addition, they have regular meetings and exposure to the leadership team to understand the business and its aims. And, on completion of the training course, each graduate selects their specialist subject to focus on so that they can then choose the right career path.
Sophie Jacobs, Sondrel’s Learning and Development Specialist, added, “We also provide training in ‘soft skills’, such as leadership, presentation and communication, that will be invaluable for their careers, which is why we call this the Early Careers Development programme. It has proved so successful that we are now rolling out the programme for the graduate intake in Morocco this year. This has the additional benefit that joining the two groups together provides experience in working with people in different geographies and building relationships with them, which prepares our graduates for a career in the global world of IC design and supply.”
