What We're Looking For:
Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a talented technical team to achieve design targets and foster innovation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineering team members, including training and creating best practices documentation.
- Stay at the forefront of the latest technologies, methodologies, and design processes in the semiconductor industry.
- Collaborate with broader engineering teams to define and improve design methodologies and flows.
- Work with program management to assess risks, estimate engineering efforts, and track project progress.
- Define clear design intent, microarchitecture, and documentation for customer requirements.
- Employ industry-leading EDA tools for design quality assurance, power optimization, and timing analysis.
- Oversee the technical leadership of design blocks from specification through handover to physical design.
- Represent Sondrel at industry events, conferences, and universities.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Strong knowledge of digital design concepts, especially in complex SoCs and CPU subsystem design.
- Expertise in HDL coding (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog) and system design knowledge (clock domain management, power management).
- Familiarity with RISC-V architecture, cache management, and coherency concepts.
- Experience with EDA tools, linting, CDC, and simulation tools.
- Proficiency in design for test, synthesis, timing constraints, and multi-mode simulation.
- Experience with Perl, Python, Java, Tcl, for design automation and verification.
Desirable:
- RISC-V architectural awareness, power intent (UPF/CPF), and debugging using HW/SW co-verification.
- Familiarity with version control (GIT, Subversion) and design checking tools.
- Ability to manage and mentor team members while driving the technical direction of projects.
- Experience with IP-XACT
