Meet Sondrel on Wednesday 5th June at the Jing An Shangrila Hotel Shanghai
Following its success at the Samsung Foundry Forum in Santa Clara USA, Sondrel prepares to exhibit in the partner pavilion at the Samsung Foundry Forum event in Shanghai, China on Wednesday June 5th.
A SAFE(TM) Partner for ASIC Development
As a design partner within the SAFE(TM) programme, Sondrel takes its place in the partner pavilion showcasing its range of accelerated design solutions for IoT devices ranging from simple to highly complex, next generation digital designs with a high degree of AI decisioning at the edge of the network. Having worked collaboratively with Samsung Foundry and two key IP and EDA partners within the Samsung Foundry ecosystem, Arm and Cadence, to deliver the industry's first IoT demonstrator with eMRAM on 28nm FDS - an exemplary low power, secure IOT solution, Sondrel continues to share information about the groundbreaking Musca-S1 design. Sondrel will be showing a range of IoT device designs that incorporate Musca-S1 as a security subsystem to ensure that the device is built to platform security architecture principles with low power design elements wherever possible or pertinent to the application.

5G Ready Solutions
With the global rollout of 5G networks imminent, simple devices are increasingly being designed to include cellular IoT capabilities such a NB IoT (Narrow Band Internet of Things) and other cellular LPWAN technologies with low data rates and moderate reaction times. 5G presents further opportunities for greater bandwidth, lower latency and support for larger volumes of data per cell which will encourage further intelligence or decisioning to be made at the edge of the network before critical data is sent and received wirelessly across the network. The increasing use of internet-connected devices in everyday life creates superb opportunities but also brings with it additional risks for device owners in the face of data breaches and malicious attacks. Sondrel's designs foreground the use of the Musca-S1 solution with IP from Arm, Samsung and Cadence to ensure that security is designed in at the hardware and software levels so that devices can connect seamlessly to secure cloud solutions such as the Arm(R) Pelion(TM) cloud infrastructure where they can be managed and updated securely.
IoT Ready Design Teams
Sondrel's global network of secure design centres covers the Europe, North Africa, India and China, where its office in Xi'an is home to over thirty highly experienced IC design engineers covering a range of design practices including front end design, verification and physical design, design for test. The Xi'an office is uniquely able to offer Chinese speaking design engineers to support clients locally and provide a multi-disciplinary team working largely from its Xi'an office, with programme management support and architectural design from other global offices.
